Choose a Charity: 2024
As many of you know, each year HPA members choose a charity for HPA’s Annual Charity Fundraiser. HPA members choose one charity at the end of each year to raise funds for, and those funds are presented at our Winter Social. HPA matches the total donations up to $500.00.
We have nominated the following 3 charities.
I AM Foundation (https://theiamfoundation.org/home/)
The I AM Foundation began with the need to lead, encourage and motivate at-risk youth and students in underserved communities to see themselves greater than their circumstances.
Operation Breakthrough (https://operationbreakthrough.org/)
Operation Breakthrough provides a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and empowers their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.
Midwest Innocence Project (https://themip.org/)
Midwest Innocence Project works to free innocent people from prison for crimes they did not commit, support and empower those individuals post-release, and reform policy and legislation to prevent wrongful convictions. Our work spans Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Iowa, in collaboration with pro-bono lawyers and law firms, law students and clinics, prosecutors, and our partners. They strive to promote community healing and equitable justice for all.
