Heartland Paralegal Association's membership year runs May 1 to April 30 each year.  New memberships initiated between November 1 and April 1 in any year will be automatically pro-rated based on the membership year remaining.  New memberships initiated during our annual renewal period (April 1 to May 30) will be applied to the new membership year.

Heartland Paralegal Association's membership is comprised of paralegals, legal assistants, paralegal educators and students, legal secretaries, legal support staff, law firms, and vendors who support its goals and purpose. Our members work in law firms, courts, and corporations, and represent a wide variety of legal practice areas.   By submitting this application online, you certify that you are over the age of 18, and have never been convicted of a felony.  Further, you agree to be bound by the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
